Ann Kammerer
I’ve been writing fiction and poetry as long as I can remember. I wrote with pencils and ballpoint pens when I was a kid, then on my dad’s Voss typewriter as a teen. Over time, I progressed to composing on word processors, desktop computers, laptops, and, in a pinch, mobile devices and the ever-analog and trusted steno pad.
I worked in public relations, communications, and community journalism throughout my career. Most of my narrative poetry, flash fiction, and short stories are set in the decades of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, with relationship-driven storylines told in a detached, observational voice.
